Video from BookSweet
My brother took this video of me reading at Book Sweet, the first stop on my tour. It contains my reading, but none of the discussion after, because he didn’t have permission to video the audience. I thought it was a very good discussion, but i feel the reading itself is worth you tiime.

My Kidney Just Arrived
Back in Print

My second full-length collection of poetry, My Kidney Just Arrived, is again available.
After seven years on dialysis, I got a kidney transplant in 2010. This book tells that journey in poetry, with sidetrips into family, waiting, and death.
It was originally published by Tebot Bach in 2011, but has been out of print for almost ten years. Luckily, my current publisher, Moon Tide Press, was able to resurrect it, and it is once again for sale. You can get a copy from me at any stop on my tour.

Interview

I was interviewed by Tresha Faye Haefner about my book. Listen to the interview here.
I recommend subscribing to Haefner’s substack newsletter for more interviews with contemporary poets, plus workshops, poetry analysis, and an occasional story about life in Costa Rica.
Now On Instagram
I have started an Instagram account. GMTPoet@instagram.com
Since this account is primarily for promoting my book, expect posts, videos, and comments which do just that. I hope you will follow me anyway.
Brief Video About Caregiving and My Book
Here is video I made for Caring Across Generations, a website dedicated to connecting caregivers, and improving the state of care in our society.
Book Release a Success

I had a fun and successful book release party at the Spirit Room in Rochester. Local blues musician Son Henry opened for me. I read from Living the Sundown. Then Son Henry and I jammed on some poetry/music combos. A couple of dozen people attended, and I sold some books.
Books are Here
My first shipment of books arrived this past Wednesday. Very exciting. Unluckily, it was only nine books, and most of them are already claimed. I’m supposed to get the rest (41 books) Tuesday or Wednesday next week. If you want to buy one, hit me up then. Or, it is live on Amazon now.
Book Release Party
The book release party for Living the Sundown will be Thursday, November 14, 5 pm, at The Spirit Room (139 State St., Rochester NY). Local blues musician Son Henry will be joining me, for some original music and collaborations.

New Website

Due to a computer crash, I lost the ability to update my old. website, gmurraythomas.com. The website still exists, but is three years out of date. It does provide a lot more info about me, as well as links to my videos and books. This new site is very much a work in progress. When I am satisfied with it, I will redirect my old domain name to this site.
